Since the 1st of October, 2013 it has been the responsibility of business owners to provide first aiders in the workplace, every TQUK First Aid Qualification will provide businesses with competent first aiders as well as regulation compliance, the HSE ceased approving First Aid training providers to deliver First Aid training.

This approval system has been replaced with a recommendation that first aid training in the workplace should be approved by Awarding Organisations that are regulated by Ofqual.

All of our First Aid Qualifications have been produced in consultation with the HSE and the qualification regulators and are supported by Skills for Health. TQUK are also approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to provide the new EFAW and FAW qualifications for the purpose of Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

Where indicated in the specification, assessment, including assessors and internal quality assurers, must meet the requirements of the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications

The purpose of the TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is for the learner to attain knowledge and practical competencies required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations. It provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to provide appropriate care and manage life-threatening conditions, minor illness and injuries. Learners will have the knowledge and skills required to provide Emergency First Aid in an occupational setting in a prompt, safe and effective manner to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) First Aid Regulations.

The TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is aimed at learners already working or preparing to work in industry. The qualification is usually delivered as a three-day programme of training and assessment for learners to allow them to be first aiders in the workplace.
