TQUK Level 1 Award in Principles of Working in Early Years Settings (RQF)   icon

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge of childcare in an early years setting (Birth – 5 years 11 months) Topics include: the value of play, roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers and the importance of developing community links.

TQUK Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce (RQF) icon

Designed for learners looking to work caring for children and young people and gain skills and knowledge in areas such as supporting development, safeguarding and communicating. Optional units allow for a range of specialisms to be studied. This qualification forms part of the intermediate apprenticeship for the Children's and Young People's Workforce.

The purpose of the TQUK Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitoner (RQF) is to gain the understanding and skills that a level 2 early years practitioner needs to demonstrate to be considered qualified to support young children from birth to 5 years old.

The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of information technology in early years education and development and to enable the learners to put the knowledge into practice. Two mandatory units include facilitate good practice in the use of ICT in Early Years settings and supporting children's learning using ICT.

The Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (RQF) is specifically designed for learners wanting to work in residential care with children in a care role. Settings include residential care homes, residential special schools, therapeutic communities, secure children's homes, shared care and short break settings.

TQUK Level 3 Diploma for the Children's Workforce (Early Years Educator) (RQF) icon

Designed for learners who work, or wish to work, with children from birth to 5 years old in a variety of settings. The qualification prepares learners for employment as Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. It develops the knowledge and skills required to work with children from birth to 5 years together with an understanding of the expected development of children aged 5 to 7 years. The qualification also provides opportunities for the confirmation of competence for learners working towards Early Years Educator status.
