Any qualification with an operational start date of 1 October 2015 or later will be displayed on the Ofqual register, and our documentation, will have (RQF) on the end instead of (QCF).
This is because Ofqual, the regulator, have made changes to the framework that regulated qualifications sit on. Instead of the Qualifications Credit Framework, we now have the Regulated Qualification Framework or RQF.

On the 25th November, the chancellor will announce the outcomes of the 2015 spending review. The review was launched earlier in the summer and will determine department budgets and priorities for spending. This has the potential to have a huge impact in our sector so we eagerly await the publication.
There has been some rather calamitous rumours circulating recently regarding how the FE review will contribute towards the projected £20bn savings. At the last major review in 2010, the BIS department played a tough negotiating game before settling a budget. I'm sure this time around similar strategic risk taking will be required.
