From April 2017, the government will be changing the way funded apprenticeships work across the UK.
Some employers will be required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy whilst there will be changes to the funding of apprenticeship training for all employers.
The government’s ‘vision for 2020’ sees all apprenticeships providing substantive training in a professional or technical route, transferable skills and competency in English and Maths for all ages.

Training Qualifications UK have become the first Awarding Organisation to join forces with the Dementia Action Alliance.
Dementia is a condition which can be caused by a number of diseases that affect the brain but the most common is known as Alzheimer’s. Other conditions include vascular dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies and Pick’s disease.

To say that the healthcare system has been under scrutiny recently would be stating the obvious, but maybe it’s time to praise the health and social care sector and the hard working teams up and down the country that are often placed in challenging situations.
First off, let’s state that very few go into social work for the glory. It is, unfortunately not a profession known for the confidence it inspires in the public, or one where your monthly pay packet accurately reflects the potentially high volume of work.
