Christmas is nearly here, so it’s time to deck those halls, trim those trees and get the food and drink flowing. But before we sit down in front of another festive screening of The Great Escape, it’s time for a look back at the last twelve months and a look ahead to the next twelve.

2019 has been a busy one – across the country, within the industry and here at Training Qualifications UK – but with that has come growth and success. When I first set the company up back in 2013, I had big ambitions for it. I was never in any doubt that we could build a great team and offer an incredible service to our customers that genuinely disrupts the sector, but even I’ve been impressed by how far we’ve come.

In just six years, we’ve gone from plucky young upstarts to a top 20 AO that’s knocking on the door of the top ten. 2019 has seen us continue our incredible journey, dispatching over 100,000 certificates to our learners and getting nominated for an award or two. We’ve also been leading the way in EPA, and now offer an impressive 36 standards across a wide range of subjects including HR, Healthcare and Hospitality.

We’ve also been busy welcoming more partners into the Training Qualifications UK family, strengthening existing partnerships and expanding our footprint around the world. One of the most significant markers of our success is seeing these partnerships grow, and whether it’s our work with The Skills Network or our visits to international centres in places like Mauritius, Hong Kong and Greece, I’m really proud of how far we’ve come.

Our people are the key to our success. We’re a diverse bunch here at Training Qualifications UK and we each bring our unique skills and qualities to the table. Our commitment culture allows us to harness these skills to their fullest and create a company that’s more than just a collection of individuals; it’s a true team. We’ve built this foundation on three core behaviours. Everyone who works at Training Qualifications UK is asked to show a willingness to learn, a desire to put the team first, and the ability to show courtesy towards their teammates.

These are non-negotiable pre-requisites that are core to who we are and how we operate. By creating a culture that revolves around these values, we’re building a platform for excellence.

Excellence within our staff, who can learn from one another, develop their careers and come into work every day with a smile on their face.

Excellence for our customers, who know they’ll be dealing with highly motivated experts in awarding who offer them the straightforward support that helps them grow.

And excellence for our learners, who can rely on us to help them expand their horizons and learn the skills they need to enhance their lives.

We won’t be slowing down in 2020. In fact, we’re looking to up the pace and achieve even more next year. We’ve got some exciting new developments lined up for the next 12 months, and while we can’t talk about them just yet, we’re confident that they’ll add even more value to our offering and help our customers achieve even greater success.

For the here and now though, I want to thank all our staff, customers and partners for what we’ve achieved together in 2019, and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Best wishes,
Andy
